  • The Fund for Santa Barbara was established in 1980 as a community foundation by a group of individuals who shared a vision of a just and humane society, and wanted to offer our community an alternative concept in philanthropy. The Fund is dedicated to finding solutions to current and emerging social problems and issues that challenge our society as a whole. Since its inception, The Fund has awarded over $3 million to more than 600 projects.

  • The Independent Living Resource Center, Inc., is an organization of, by and for persons with disabilities who reside or work in our service area. Our purpose is to assist and encourage individuals to achieve their optimal level of self-sufficiency while eliminating the architectural, communication and attitudinal barriers which prevent them from full participation in the community.

  • The mission of the National Empowerment Center Inc. is to carry a message of recovery, empowerment, hope and healing to people who have been labeled with mental illness. We carry that message with authority because we are a  consumer/survivor/ex-patient-run organization and each of us is living a personal journey of recovery and empowerment.

  • The California Network of Mental Health Clients  (CNMHC) is a solely consumer-run organization whose membership consists of affiliates and individuals throughout the State. It provides a statewide advocacy voice for California's mental health consumers. The CNMHC is a critical participant, stakeholder, and advocacy agent in all statewide mental health policy processes.
